Visit the Charles H. Burwell House, which was built in the 1880s for the man who managed the Minnetonka Mill company. The home has been restored to look like how it did in the 1890s and you can still see the original furnishings as well as admire the Italianate and Victorian architecture it sports. The property also includes the ice house, woodshed, the workers' cottage and mill office. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Minnetonka has close to 50 parks, miles of trails and open spaces for you to enjoy. Go boating at Gray's Bay Marina, one of the very few places where you could access Lake Minnetonka from the city that bears its name.

If you think it is hot out, you can take a dip at Shady Oak Beach. The park has at least 70 feet of shoreline that gives you access to clear water to bathe in. You can also go boating, play sand volleyball or fish. Or you can observe nature or go boating at Minnehaha Creek Headwaters. The park has an interpretative trail and also has displays for you to learn more about the history of the area and the waterways in the city. You can also enjoy the trails here.
