While Salem captures the top spot for Halloween witches, other New England Halloween festivities also provide plenty of spine-chilling, scary moments. From pumpkin patches and graveyard ghouls to haunted walking tours, Halloween in New England doesn’t disappoint.
New England Halloween Events
New England Today Travel provided a collection of the best New England Halloween events. Here are a few horrific venues to visit:
Spooky World. Spooky World in Litchfield New Hampshire presents Nightmare New England with haunted attractions spread over more than 80 acres. Five separate haunted attractions draw visitors, and the newest is New England’s Haunted Hayride. Play Zombie paintball, visit tarot card readers or have fun at the carnival. It all adds up to an ultimately spooky Halloween experience.
Field of Screams. Located in Greenwich, Rhode Island, the Field of Screams has a new attraction that features large military truck transport. Try your skills at wielding heavy, bolted down paintball guns. The zombie apocalypse is upon us, and your job is to offer protection by shooting zombies and other moving targets deep in the Greenwich forest.
Ghosts and Gravestones Tour. Boston puts on nightly Ghosts and Gravestones Tours, which are a combination of trolley riding and walking through Boston’s scariest sites, like the North End tunnels and the Boston Harbor area, haunted by the Lady in Black. Hear about the mysterious Day of Darkness that occurred in 1780 and visit two of the city’s oldest graveyards.
When you gather your friends and family, charter a party bus or limo for your Halloween thrills. Bus charters are the safest form of ground transportation and you can leave your worries about traffic, directions or parking to a professional. You’ll also be using the most eco-friendly way to travel.
